I was in a portable at my high school. I was feeling down and out, so my friend gave me an odd looking can of soda. What the Hell i thought as I took it from her. She had been giving out cans of this "OK Soda" all day. She knew someone who was responsible for distributing the stuff.
Brings a tear to my eyes whenever I think about it...

Re: Where were you when you had your first taste of heaven?
Thu, May 27, 2004 - 4:54 PM7-11 up by my old place (the one near totem bowl) saw an ad for it on TV, so I decided that this was the beverage for me. I liked the fact that they werent promising the moon with their product. it was a refreshing change from the deluge of excrement that comes out of the TV. I have been hooked ever since.
I love how this particular tribe is sort of an afficianados club, but this thread makes it sort of a support group.
*ahem*

Re: Where were you when you had your first taste of heaven?
Thu, May 27, 2004 - 5:21 PMMy first... It was in High School as well. Before they were selling it in the stores, in my DECA business class, we were told about this soda that was about to be test-marketed in our area. We got a few cases of it and some advertising posters and stuff for free and I had a few and thought they were great. Much like the mixing of sodas at the fountain self-serve soda machines.

Re: Where were you when you had your first taste of heaven?
Fri, May 28, 2004 - 10:39 AMThe first six months of withdrawal were ok. But the trouble (sob) started during week 29. I needed my fix, and I needed it bad.
I went to Godfathers Pizza, and tried the combo tatic. It didn't work. I knew I was doomed.
I found hope when driving through Oregon with my family. We stopped at a native grocery store. Inside, I found three cases. -

Sat, May 29, 2004 - 10:13 AMI found hope inside the bottom of a pitcher of beer. I chased after it nightly for a few years finding that glimmer of hope in the bottom of each pitcher, until it was no longer feasible to afford that. -

Sat, May 29, 2004 - 10:29 AMTraditionally, hope doesnt give you liver cancer or beer farts. (it can, however make you a little giddy) ;) -

Re: Where were you when you had your first taste of heaven?
Thu, December 29, 2005 - 9:30 PMI remember I was with my dad, visiting one of his friends who worked for the Coke bottling plant (denver). I commented on how it tasted like mixing all the sodas together and he told me that is was mostly just regular coke and cokes brand of orange juice (minute maid). I have tried the two together, it makes an awfull looking beverage, but the taste is similar.
your opinon?
